Here's Grace 18. It's an action chapter. Hopefully it will be enjoyed.
The story is nearly over. Two Chapters and maybe an epilogue is my current estimation. I'm already mentally composing a list of major issues that will need to be mended during the editing process. It'll be a lot of work, but the story that I want to tell will come out the other end having been told in a way that satisfies me. That's the goal.
One such change involves this chapter. I wonder if I could split it down the middle, flesh out both parts a bit more and make it two chapters. But I think that the pacing works for the most part and that two chapters of pure action would be a bit overwhelming and out of character for Grace. I'll think about it.
One of the origin of Grace as a story comes from this Dryden passage by the way:
And for this glory, after I have seen
The canopy of state spread wide above
In the abyss of heaven, the court of stars
The blushing morning, and the rising sun,'
What greater can I see?
Specifically the phrase 'Court of Stars'. Jacob suggest that that be the name of the book. I imagine that I'd actually call it "The Court of Stars Book 1 - Grace" or something. But it's an idea. Not sure if that's what I'd go with though.
